Oliver Matthews
We are not quite certain what we would do without Oliver. Not only does he provide technical support but he has actually designed the software for our database system. He also brings his professional engineering background and his knowledge of lighting and sound systems, having designed one of the very first sound to light systems.

In addition Oliver has fifteen years' experience in organising public events together with a passion for Modern Jive, Blues and West Coast Swing.

Ernestine Matthews
Ernestine represents the spirit of Jive London as (since she first started dancing in 2002) she has always wanted to put on a 'magical dance event'. With her attention to detail and artistic flair she helps make certain every Jive London event is a special event.

But she doesn't stop with the setting up, Ernestine is always looking out to make sure everyone one is happy and having a great time which is why everyone loves Ernestine.

Abi Manly-Simms
Abi is a miJive demonstrator, coach and all round team member.

She began dancing at the age of three and trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz and more recently fell in love with Modern Jive.

Abi has certificates in teaching dance fitness and teaches weekly classes to adults and children in a variety of styles from Street to Zumba type classes to Stiletto and Burlesque! She also participates in boxing and kickboxing training to complement her own fitness.

When she is not dancing she works as a counsellor and therapist specialising in young people.

Michele Sanders
Michele is a miJive coach and top DJ who hails from South Africa. But it was in London where she caught the dance bug in early 2008 with Jive Nation.

She then realised her passion for DJ'ing after becoming runner up in the Jive Nation Battle of the DJ's competition.

Michele moved to Oxford in late 2009 and started dancing and DJ'ing for miJive. 'While there were many dance venues closer to home, I love the vibe and the people at Waddesdon – it's like a little dancing family. Long may the dancing fun continue!'

Michele works full time looking at how we can increase the effectiveness of conservation.

Julian Shipp
Julian has over ten years' experience as a Taxi dancer and has been a driving force at miJive since its conception.

A popular lead and coach, we are very lucky to have him as a team member.

Jonathan is also able to add operational support with an amazing background in sound engineering and music production. Jonathan is also a software designer and worked on the first 3D sound at the EMI Research Laboratory.

Jon Trotter
Jon started Modern Jive just five years ago and in this time has become one of the most popular male dancers on the circuit. In 2011 he met Michelle (above) and they are now practising together for competition. Jon has attended Weekenders, workshops and classes all over the UK. His passion for dancing is only matched by his passion for helping new dancers to improve.

We are lucky to have Jon helping out especially at our new Heathrow venue.

Alan French
There is nothing Alan wouldn't do to help others and he can do just about anything. An electrician, carpenter and plumber by day and expert dance coach by night. With over nine years' experience as a Ceroc Taxi dancer we are very lucky to have Alan's help in both setting up and running Jive London events.

As yet we have been unable to find a photo that shows his true beauty (and probably never will).
